Please inform us prior to your arrival if you are bringing a trailer, if you are bring a trailer you may need to pay for a larger pitch to accommodate the trailer

Pitch Sizes & Tent Classifications

We have different shapes and sizes of pitches and therefore we charge based on the size of tent. We classify tents as follows: 2/3 berth tent up to 10 square metres, 4/6 berth tent between 11 and 26 square metres, 8/10 berth tent over 26 square metres. We cannot guarantee pitch numbers or locations on our park, please inform us of any preferences at the time of booking as we will do our best to accommodate them.

Gazebos

We allow gazebos up to 3 metres by 3 metres and they must be open sided and have no groundsheet. Using a gazebo is subject to the size of pitch you have been allocated and you may have to pay for a larger pitch in order to accommodate a gazebo. We do not allow event shelters, for more advice please ring our office.

2nd Small Tent On Pitch

We only allow a 2nd small tent on our largest pitches. This may mean you have to pay for a larger pitches as well as the second smaller tent to allow enough space between tents.

Groups

Sorry, but in order to keep the park as peaceful as possible for everyone’s enjoyment we do not accept groups (which for us is more than 4 adults or more than 2 families who know each other) on the park. We also don’t accept single-sex groups of 4 adults or more unless by prior arrangement.

Important Information

All guests and their visitors staying at Hook Farm are required to observe the following conditions:

Arrival and Departure

From 1st March to 30th April and from 6th September to 1st November we ask that you arrive between 1.00pm and 7.00pm. From 1st May to 5th September we ask that you arrive between and from 1.00pm to 8.00pm. All arrivals must register with reception before going on to the park. Pitches must be vacated by 11.00am on day of departure leaving the pitch in a tidy manner and, in particular, free of any fossils or stones collected during the holiday. Outside of the High Season a late departure (through to 6pm) can be arranged (subject to the pitch being available) for a small fee of £6.00.

Dogs

All dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times on the park. Please ensure that your dog does not cause annoyance to other park users and is never left unattended on the park. Any fouling must be cleared using the bins provided. Sorry, but we do not accept Staffordshire or Pit Bull Terriers, Rottweilers, Dobermans and Bullmastiffs.

Noise

The playing of vehicle stereos is strictly prohibited on the park. Musical instruments, radios, CD players and similar appliances should be used considerately during the day and should not disturb or be a nuisance to fellow campers. Noise in general must kept to an absolute minimum after 11.00pm and before 7.30am.
BBQs & Fires: No open fires are to be made on the park. Portable barbecues are permitted but must be at least 6″ off the ground – if a stand is required please use the bricks we have made available. We do not allow wood or wood chip products to be burnt in the BBQ – please only use charcoal.

Children

Children must be supervised at all times and children under 8 must always be accompanied by an adult in the washrooms. We ask that the play area is not used before 8.00am or after 8.30pm or sundown whichever is the earliest. Water games are not allowed anywhere on the park. We are sorry but we do not allow children under 18 years to camp without their parents being present.

Electrical Hookup

Please note that the maximum supply to each pitch is 10amps. This is appropriate for such items as phone chargers, electric lights, travel fridges, camping kettles and camping heaters, etc. but items such as domestic kettles and awning heaters may trip the supply and we therefore ask you not to use them.

Washroom Facilities

Please leave the basins, toilets and showers clean and tidy and as you would wish to find them.

Vehicles, Terracing and Lighting

Please note that certain areas of the park are terraced. Please do not climb the banks and vehicle access must always be via designated roads. The speed limit is strictly 5mph. The Lym Valley is designated a “Dark Valley” so the Park has restricted lighting at night, the use of a torch is strongly recommended.

We do reserve the right to refuse access to visitors at our own discretion.

We reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone on the park without reason or remove any tent or caravan should it be considered necessary. The refund of the appropriate portion of any site rental shall be sufficient discharge of all obligations to any person who is required to vacate the park. The park owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage or accident to any persons or private property, however caused, whilst staying on the park or using the facilities or amenities.

Reservation

All reservations made in advance are subject to the following terms and conditions: We take payment by debit card over the phone. Under normal circumstances all reservations made in advance require a deposit to be paid at the time of booking to reserve the pitch and the balance must be paid in the same way at least four weeks in advance of arrival (if the booking is made within four weeks of arrival full payment must be made immediately). Any deposit paid forms part of the total bill for the booking. The final bill is the total fee less any deposit paid. The following is our Cancellation Policy; a full refund will be given in the event of the cancellation of a holiday 28 full days prior to the arrival date. In the event of cancellation less than 28 full days prior to the arrival date, or in the event of an early departure of a booked holiday, we reserve the right to retain all monies paid unless the pitch can be re-let in which case a relevant refund will be made.
